Accounting and Internal Control Manager - Position closed December 19, 2014
Reporting to the controller and in close collaboration with the finance department and budget holders, the new accounting and internal control manager possess a thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and is responsible for annual audits, internal controls, general ledger, accounting procedures, tax filings and compliance for the Academy. The Manager will lead a 2-member team and will be responsible for building and fostering positive working relationships with the accounting team, internal budget managers, auditors, actuaries and bank representatives. The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related discipline. CPA preferred.
Director of Campus Safety Services - Position closed December 18, 2014
Reporting to the chief of planning and facilities and in close collaboration with the dean of students, the new director of campus safety services provides vision, leadership and administration for all safety, health, and related regulatory compliance programs that assist the campus community in maintaining order and ensuring safety. Focus areas include uniformed safety operations, occupational and environmental health and safety, emergency and crisis management, and environmental compliance. The Director will lead a 15-member team that patrols and provides safety 24-hours/365 days a year. The Director will be responsible for building and fostering positive working relationships with the campus safety office staff, Academy community, local police, fire department and other community organizations. The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in criminal justice, environmental compliance or related discipline. Master's degree preferred.
