Campus Safety Officer (only accepting resumes through October 10, 2014)
Provides safety services that assist the campus community in maintaining order and/or improving the personal safety of the students, faculty, staff and guests and ensures the security of Academy property.  Full Time - 40 hours per week, 12 month position. Varied shifts dependent on scheduling. Hours as assigned, to maintain 24/7 coverage. Schedule may vary according to Academy needs.  This position is classified as "Essential Personnel" for hazardous weather and emergency response situations. Essential Personnel are expected to report to work during these events unless specifically excused by the supervisor.  Associate's degree preferred.  Must successfully complete a formal field training program and an off-site, residential safety officer academy. Must be able to complete an in-house CPR/AED and First Aid certification program within 60 days of employment. Must possess and maintain a valid operator's license.  Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States and be 21 years of age or older. Previous experience in a campus safety field preferred, but not required. Customer service experience desirable. Computer experience required. Must be highly proficient with Microsoft Office products and internet-based software programs. Must demonstrate excellent judgment as well as strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.  

 

Female Lead Custodian/Set-Up Coordinator
Provides leadership and coordination for designated custodial service and event set-up functions and performs hands-on tasks as assigned.  High school diploma or GED preferred. Valid driver's license required.  Previous custodial experience required. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

First Cook (Three Quarter)
This position is responsible for preparation of residential meals, ensuring consistent and timely production, quality, quantity and presentation of hot and cold foods.  This cook also leads co-workers in production. High school graduate or GED equivalent required; culinary arts degree preferred or equivalent experience/training in an institutional environment.  ServSafe certification preferred. Must be able to do simple math calculations and convert recipes. Demonstrated experience as a second cook in a similar size operation for a minimum of one year, with knowledge of quantity food production in accordance with current principles, practices, methods and materials 

Lead Campus Safety Officer
Provides supervision for campus safety officers while providing safety services that assist the campus community in maintaining order and/or improving the personal safety of the students, faculty, staff and guests and ensures the security of Academy property. Patrols may be in vehicles, on foot or on bicycle, sometimes in adverse weather conditions.  Dispatch shifts are assigned in a climate-controlled office setting with multiple computer terminals, a multi-line switchboard, emergency telephones and alarm/camera monitoring equipment. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment which requires the ability to multi-task, sometimes under stressful conditions. The Lead Campus Safety Officer will wear assigned uniforms in accordance with Campus Safety General Orders. Smoking is not permitted in Academy owned buildings or vehicles or in the presence of students. Associate's degree required, bachelor's degree preferred.  Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States and be 21 years of age or older. A minimum of three year's experience as a campus safety officer is required. Prior supervisory experience is preferred. Computer experience required. Lead Host
This position serves in a lead role in managing front-of-the-house operations in the dining hall, including all aspects of service and adherence to sanitation standards. High school graduate or GED preferred.  ServSafe certification preferred. Minimum of one-year food service required, including experience in a supervisory position.  Must be capable of doing basic math calculations.  Basic computer skills preferred.

TEMPORARY - Childcare Teacher
Co-teach in planning and implementing early childhood instruction in accordance with the Reggio Emilia philosophy.  The successful candidate will develop a well-rounded curriculum that meets the social, emotional, intellectual and physical needs of each child.  Associates or Bachelor's Degree with at least twelve credits in education/development including 3 credits in human growth and development and three years' experience working with infants and young children preferred. Must have CPR and First Aid training or be willing to get certification. Previous experience with infants, toddlers and/or pre-school age children required.  Must be able to communicate well with children, parents and other staff.  Proven ability to multi-task and shift priorities frequently.  Must possess the ability to teach in a team atmosphere with high energy, flexibility, and patience.
