Advanced Placement Exam Proctor
Assists in the planning and administration of advanced placement testing for the student body. High school graduate or GED required.  College coursework preferred.  Please note: persons who are teachers (including AP Teachers) may proctor exams only in the subject areas they do not teach.

Assistant Track Coach
Instruct or coach teams and individual students in the fundamentals of sports. Demonstrate techniques and methods of participation. May evaluate athletes' strengths and weaknesses as possible recruits or to improve the athletes' technique to prepare them for competition. High School diploma, college degree preferred.  Played sport in high school or college or has reached a level of expertise in the sport as an adult through participation, coaching or through a formal coaching development program.

Caterer (On Call)
This position assists the catering manager and dining hall staff to set up, serve and break down special and catered events on campus ranging in size from 10 to 700+.  Must be able to read and write.  High school graduate or GED preferred.  Minimum of 16 years of age and over 18 year of age to work events where alcohol is being served.

Central Receiving/Helper (On Call)
Provides central receiving, distribution, inventory and warehouse related services. Valid driver's license required.  High school diploma or GED preferred.  Minimum two years warehouse/inventory experience is required.

Counterworker
Provide customer service to the Phelps Academy Grill.  Strong commitment to service.  Must be at least 16 years old. Must be able to read and write. Must be capable of doing simple math calculations.  Part-time, schedule may vary according to Academy needs.

Host (Part-Time)
Hosts are responsible for the coordination of food and supplies necessary for meal services, and for the operation of the dining area assigned, including the arrangement,
cleaning and condition of furnishings and equipment. High school graduate or GED preferred. ServeSafe Certification preferred; training available. Must be able to
read and write and perform mathematical calculations. Knowledge of food presentation and the use of appropriate equipment and tools preferred.

Lifeguard
Observe swimmers and enforce regulations in the guarding of life and the prevention of accidents at the Academy's swimming pool.  Must hold current certifications in lifeguarding.

On-Call Custodian
Ensures that the assigned building and surrounding areas provide comfort, safety and a homelike atmosphere through effective cleanliness, sanitation and maintenance. High school diploma or GED preferred.  Previous custodial experience preferred.  Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Substitute Childcare Teacher
This position will work with all childcare center teachers to create a warm and caring environment for young children meeting the social, emotional, intellectual and physical needs of each child.  Associates or Bachelor's degree with at least nine credits in early childhood education/development including 3 credits in human growth and development and three years' experience working with infants and young children preferred. Must have CPR and First Aid training or be willing to get certification.  Previous experience with infants, toddlers pre-school, kindergarten and/or elementary school age children required.  Must be able to communicate well with children, parents and other staff.

Utilities Dishwasher (Part-Time)
This position performs key functions within the dish area to ensure the sanitation and cleanliness of all flatware, trays, dishware, service ware, glass ware, catering ware and kitchen areas.  High School graduate or GED equivalent preferred. 

Weight Room Attendant
Ensures that the weight room is a safe and clean place to train, monitor access of students, faculty, staff and guests.  Provides supervision to patrons by enforcing weight room policies, safety and etiquette practices.  High school diploma or GED; one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Participation in a weight training class desired.  The ability to demonstrate knowledge of weight training equipment techniques.  CPR and first aid required.
