Central Receiving/Helper On-Call (Position closed November 21, 2014)
Provides central receiving, distribution, inventory and warehouse related services. Valid driver's license required.  High school diploma or GED preferred.  Minimum two years warehouse/inventory experience is required.

Counterworker (part-time) - Position closed November 21, 2014
Provide customer service to the Phelps Academy Grill.  Strong commitment to service.  Must be at least 16 years old. Must be able to read and write. Must be capable of doing simple math calculations.  Part-time, schedule may vary according to Academy needs.

First Cook (On-Call) - Position closed November 21, 2014
This on-call position is responsible for preparation of residential meals, ensuring consistent and timely production, quality, quantity and presentation of hot and cold foods.  This cook also leads co-workers in production.  High school graduate or GED equivalent required; culinary arts degree preferred or equivalent experience/training in an institutional environment.  ServSafe certification preferred. Must be able to do simple math calculations and convert recipes.  Demonstrated experience as a second cook in a similar size operation for a minimum of one year, with knowledge of quantity food production in accordance with current principles, practices, methods and materials.

Groundsperson (part-time) - Position closed November 21, 2014
Maintains and preserves the Academy's physical environment to ensure a clean, safe appearance and functional condition for those visiting, working on, and using the main campus, Academy woods, parking areas and trails. Valid operator's license and ability to operate a standard transmission vehicle required.

Head Boys JV Swim Coach - Position closed November 21, 2014
Instruct or coach teams and individual students in the fundamentals of sports. Demonstrate techniques and methods of participation. May evaluate athletes' strengths and weaknesses as possible recruits or to improve the athletes' technique to prepare them for competition. High School diploma, college degree preferred.  Played sport in high school or college or has reached a level of expertise in the sport as an adult through participation, coaching or through a formal coaching development program.

Health Services Assistant (On-Call): Position closed November 20, 2014
Assistants provide for patients' non-clinical needs in a manner that is professional, considerate and supportive of the students' health, safety and individual development. High school education or GED required.  Experience working with ill or injured patients (adolescents) helpful.

Substitute Childcare Teacher - Position closed November 21, 2014
This position will work with all childcare center teachers to create a warm and caring environment for young children meeting the social, emotional, intellectual and physical needs of each child.  Associates or Bachelor's degree with at least nine credits in early childhood education/development including 3 credits in human growth and development and three years' experience working with infants and young children preferred. Must have CPR and First Aid training or be willing to get certification.  Previous experience with infants, toddlers pre-school, kindergarten and/or elementary school age children required.  Must be able to communicate well with children, parents and other staff.
