College Counseling Guidebook - The Guidebook is a comprehensive resource to help students (and parents) navigate the college process.  Information is organized chronologically according to the admissions cycle.  Uppers should focus on Chapters One and Two, specifically.  Hard copies of the Guidebook are available in the College Counseling Office. 

Guidelines for Standardized Testing - Students will take a series of standardized tests as part of the college process.  Our guidelines will help you sort through the various testing options with appropriate recommendations for each grade level.

Testing Permission Form - Students for whom testing is not recommended must complete this form prior to registering for the test.  If classes are in session on the proposed test date, students must also submit a Petition to the Dean of Students Office ten days in advance.

Parent Questionnaire - The more we know about your child, the better our ability to guide him/her through the college admissions process.  Please provide us with your thoughts and feelings about your child and, once complete, please return the Questionnaire to the College Counseling Office.

Preliminary Teacher Rec Form - By the close of spring term, students must complete and submit one preliminary form to each teacher from whom they will be requesting a recommendation for college.  An updated form must be completed and submitted again in the fall of Senior year (see "Documents & Forms" under "For Seniors & Parents") 

PEA Profile for Colleges - The College Counseling Office sends a number of materials to colleges in support of a student's application.  The Profile for Colleges serves as a guide for admissions readers for interpreting the academic transcript and to foster a better understanding of life and learning at Exeter.

Funding Education Beyond High School: The Guide to Federal Student Aid - A comprehensive resource on student financial aid from the U.S. Department of Education, covering the three major forms of aid: grants, loans, and work-study.  This document is also available in Spanish.
