A Collective Curiosity

A Collective Curiosity
Her Voice in the Arts
50 Years of Coeducation at Exeter

January 19 - June 6, 2021

Compelling works by alumnae reflect and enrich our communities, both virtually and on campus this year. A Collective Curiosity continues a yearlong recognition commemorating fifty years of coeducation at Phillips Exeter Academy. This exhibition features alumnae whose works range widely in style, medium and themes including ritual, memory, perspective and innovation. Professionally, they have challenged the boundaries of art form, function and materiality. They’ve leaned into curiosity and collaboration; some have entirely reimagined the art making process. These qualities and more have been essential to their artistic success. An embodiment of resilience, courage and compassion, their work reflects Harkness principles and values inherent in their Exeter experience.
