Six strong innings of pitching from Alex Chick and a stong game at the bat and in the field by Daniel Maddox. --Submitted by Coach Mark Trafton
Big hits by Dan Maddox, Sat Motiani and Neil Herman help Exeter overcome a 7-2 deficit to win their third straight game.-- Submitted by Coach Trafton.
Fine hitting performance by catcher Joe Blundo and an excellent job by starting pitcher Sam Rowan highlight an otherwise lackluster performance by the local nine. --Submitted by Coach Mark Trafton
Two excellent pitching perfomances by Alex Chick in game one and Sam Rowan in game two highlighted the long day of baseball. Blake Gewdron had four hits and scored five runs on the day. Field leadership and quality at-bats by Joe Blundo helped keep the Big Red focused and helped earn the split. -- Submitted by Coach Trafton
A strong five inning performance by prep Jay Query and a potent hitting attack, including a squeeze bunt by second baseman Blake Gendron helped the Big Red to a fairly easy victory on Wednesday. Freshman Neil Herman provided strong defense at third base and Lowell Wood patrolled center field well in his first start at that position. --Submitted by Coach Trafton
PEA JVs could not overcome a bad third inning and fell to their second loss of the season, managing only five hits on the afternoon.-- Submitted by Coach Trafton
In a rather drawn-out affair, PEA's new players started and played the whole game with freshman Terrence Conklin notching his first win of the season.--Submitted by Coach Trafton
Despite fine pitching performances by starter Sam Rowan (5 innings) and Alex Chick (5 plus innings of relief) missed scoring opportunities and defensive miscues by the Big Red proved costly as a strong Blue Hawks squad prevailed in an exciting 11 inning contest. Clutch base hits by Ben Winneg, Nico Grapsas and Neil Herman helped get PEA the lead in the 11th inning before our cross town rival's dramatic comeback. -- Submitted by Coach Trafton
After a week lay-off due to rain-outs, the PEA nine won a see-saw contest. Fielding gems by Danny Maddox and clutch relief pitching by Sam Rowan -- a scoreless seventh inning-- helped the Big Red hold on for
the W. -- Submitted by Coach Trafton
In its season finale, the Big Red was in it all the way on the strength of a complete game gem by our starting pitcher Sam Rowan. An unearned run in the top of the second proved all that Andover would need as Exeter's bats were shut down by the Blue's outstanding lefty starter and stellar defensive plays by their second baseman and center fielder. The latter robbed Sam Rowan of extra bases, snaring a long drive to left-center in the fifth inning and snuffing out Exeter's lone rally of the day. The game was completed in a very rapid one hour and eighteen minutes. -- Submitted by Coach Trafton
