Spring Outdoor Track & Field

Coach Coder
Coach Coder

Coach Hilary Coder has coached Track and Field at Exeter for 25 years.  Her approach and key to success has been simple: Take great kids who want to learn and work and find coaches whose love for and knowledge of the sport is apparent and combine the two.

Exeter Track and Field has been successful for decades.  Dual New England titles in 2005, Girls Champions in 2007 are just two of the most recent team accomplishments.  More than our fair share of New England Individual MVP's and many Individual New England Champions continue to fill our hallways with hardware.  With at least 12% of the school participating, our history is filled with stories touting development of the novice all the way through National Championship Gold Medalists.  Coach Coder says, "We are thankful and cognizant of the success, the facilities and most of all the camaraderie that is part of every year of Track and Field at Exeter.  There is a legacy that is added to and passed on every year.

The coaching staff at Exeter is substantial in number and experience.  Coach Coder is just one of the coaches who offer the combination of experience and knowledge to the team.  She holds an USA Track and Field Level II certification in all event groups.  Only a handful of high school coaches in the country hold that level and breadth of certification.  Coach Coder was a New England Champion high jumper and an athlete at Penn State.

Coach Coder is also the head coach of Winter Indoor Track & Field and Soccer at Exeter.

Dennehy has also been successful as Exeter's head baseball coach and assistant boys' ice hockey coach. His baseball team won the 2003 Central New England Prep School Baseball League championship.

The Springfield College graduate is in his 32nd year at Exeter. Send email to Coach Bill Dennehy.
