Tremendous growth and development by the returning girls and an influx of a few key players made for a really highly regarded season.
Lily White was more than solid in goal, finding confidence with Sue Truelove, Kat Burton, Kendrick Campbell and Prep Katrina Coogan guarding the space in front of her.
The midfield connections of Alexa Ellis, Isabel Newlin, Meredith Roy and the ridiculously hard-to-guard, Julia Panopolous, made for an opponent’s challenge each and every game. Up front, Cleo Hirsch and Ashley Farnsworth were a constant threat to score. In the final game against Andover, Girls Varsity Soccer played the best game of the season with Julia finding Cleo for a spectacular header goal.
Thanks to our ten seniors: Sue Truelove, Julia Panopolous, Meredith Roy, Jenny Kaagan, Katie Broderick, Clare Durkin, Brie Hatton, Cleo Hirsch, Ashley Farnsworth and Kat Burton. Lots of memories left behind and lots of optimism for the future.
