Boys Swimming and Diving: 2009 Season Roundup

Swim team in action vs. NMH on Feb. 7, 2009

This year the boys Swimming and Diving team finished off the season with a fourth place finish in the N.E. Championship meet.  As a team, 17 of the 18 swimmers had lifetime best swims.  All three of the Exeter divers had career best performances.  Senior and Co-Captain Alex Rafter started things off with qualifying swims in both the 200 freestyle and 100 fly.  Nathan Bu, also a Senior and Co-Captain, did his part by placing in the finals of the 50 and 100 freestyle.

Exeter brought home a lot of individual hardware during the finals at night.  Fourteen team members scored during the evening session, including the silver medal in the final event, the 4 x 100 freestyle.  The team would like to thank manager Bree Galeano for her dedication to the Swimming and Diving team and pool manager Sam Coes for his tireless effort on behalf of the program.  Congratulations to boys Swimming and Diving on a great season.

Captains elect for next year will be Adam Lebovitz and Parker Moody.
