Imagine Emma Broderick and Katrina Coogan standing side-by-side. Now put Matt Riley between them. It was extremes like that that this year's indoor track team faced. Three cancelled meets due to weather made for a frustrating start. But the team made up for it with what followed:

• A strong win over Exeter High School.
• A new school record  (rewritten 3 times!) by Katrina Coogan in the mile.
• Hall of Fame performances by Matt Riley in the shot put. Matt threw over 50 ft. multiple times.
• Karina Tefft in the dash.
• Katrina Coogan and Emma Broderick in the mile.
• Tom Leger ran the 3000m in nine minutes.

The icing was certainly the contribution that the team made to the overall Exeter-Andover tally. The boys/girls varsity and the boys JV teams made a clean sweep  by winning all three Andover meets when they had to.
