Results at Interschols: 9-7 win vs. Andover; 5-11 loss vs. Choate; 8-12 loss vs. Deerfield for a 4th place finish

The 2009 girls water polo team finished 12-5 in league play—the team’s best winning percentage ever—and swept their four game series against Andover.

In the championship tournament, the team played their best water polo of the season, but lost competitive games to the eventual champions: Choate and third-place Deerfield. Even though the team was made up of many first-time players, the girls possessed a high-powered offense that outscored opponents 406 to 207. The 407 goals in a season are the most ever by an Exeter squad.

The team would like to express its appreciation to strength coach Andrea Sweet; pool manager Sam Coes; and managers Molly Wilson, Jeannette Moon, Julia Feldman, Alex Rafter and Adam Lebovitz.
