New Girls Varsity Soccer Scoring Record
Tuesday, November 7, 2006
Sophie Robinson ’07 of Stratham, NH, broke the girl’s varsity soccer single-season scoring record at Exeter this weekend when she scored her 22nd and 23rd goals of the season. The senior forward will have more chances to increase that total with two games and possible playoffs remaining in the fall sports season.
Robinson is a four-year varsity soccer player who has been playing since she was 5 years old. She hopes her record may rise between 26 and 28 goals by season’s end. The previous record was set by alumna Heather Jackson ’02, who scored 22 goals. Robinson plans to play soccer in college and then return to Exeter to teach environmental science and coach soccer.
