Student Green Fund
A few years ago, a generous alumnus donated funds to the Academy to be used specifically for environmental projects. An important stipulation of his gift, known as the Niebling Fund, was that the projects must be initiated by our students. Since its inception, the Niebling Fund has supported a range of projects suggested by students, including purchasing more locally grown and organic food for our dining halls, purchasing biodiesel fuel to be used in several Academy vehicles, and supporting the New Hampshire conservation license plates (moose plates) on all Academy cars and busses.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to make a difference in our school. We hope that you submit as many ideas as you have. The Academy’s Environmental Task Force will review all submissions and narrow the list to a few projects. In turn, we will then send out an all-student e-mail asking for you to vote on your top choices. The winning projects will be funded this year. The Academy will be able to fund a project or projects up to a total cost of $20,000.
