Take the Green Cup Pledge!
"I pledge to lower my energy consumption for the duration of the Green Cup Challenge 2007 and beyond.  This may include (but is not limited to): turning off my computer and monitor, lights and appliances; unplugging chargers when not in use; turning down my heat instead of opening windows (when applicable); taking the stairs instead of the elevator.

I recognize that inefficient energy use generates unnecessary pollution and greenhouse gases that contribute to global climate change.  I pledge to do my part to reduce the negative environmental and health impacts of my energy use, for the betterment of the Exeter community, and the world at large."

More Challenges!
In addition to the interscholastic challenge, we are offering other incentives to motivate the entire Exeter community.  We are also extending the competition beyond the walls of Exeter to those who live off-campus.

• Inter-dorm Challenge
Several dorms on campus have been selected to compete in a smaller, inter-dorm competition to help bring the GCC spirit and enthusiasm to campus.

Prizes

Choice of one of the following for overall winner:
1. Dorm games (pool table, ping pong table, etc.)
2. Eco-Furniture
3. BBQ Grill and free range meat (vegetarian options, too)
4. Hammocks

• Inter-building Challenge
Six academic buildings (Jeremiah Smith, Lamont Health Center, Phelps Academy Center, Gilman House, the Children's Center, and the Data Center) will also be competing this year.

Prize
Catered lunch party featuring local/organic foods

• Off-Campus Challenge
This challenge invites faculty, staff, and day students to compete by conserving electricity at home to help get those who live off campus more involved.

Prize
