REL255: The New Testament

The New Testament, which has been called "the most widely read, quoted, debated, maligned, and believed book in Western civilization," will be the focus of this course. We will read and explore the New Testament, study the life of Jesus, the travels and letters of Paul, and the book of Revelation, and will consider these both in their historical context and in contemporary literature and films.
