A NEW TRADITION IS BORN

Exeter's
First
Homecoming

Nearly 400 Exonians with their families and guests came home for Exeter's first Homecoming on November 13. Although the Big Red soccer and football teams fell to Andover, Exonians found plenty to cheer about in the volleyball and field hockey victories. Exeter's newest alums swapped college stories, parents turned future alumni/ae loose on the playing fields, and Exonians across the decades enjoyed the spirit of the day. After the games, the entire Exeter community gathered for a festive, "Fifth Quarter" picnic in the Cage.

Winners of Exeter goodies in the halftime raffle were Richard Doughty '92, Barbara Jenny '84, Nitin Mariwalla '98, Demaris Mills '99, Mark O'Day '73, Adam Sadler '98, Patrick Shum '99, and Haydn Taylor '34, with the grand prize of an Exeter Seiko watch going to Bob Spoerl '72.

With the weekend's excitement and good cheer as momentum, plans are now underway for Homecoming 2001. Stay tuned and see you then!
