Environmental Stewardship



Environmental Stewardship covers the following areas:

  • Energy Efficiency and Energy Management
  • Sustainable Design and Construction
  • Natural Resources Management including woods, trails, wildlife, and the Exeter River

                In addition to these areas, Environmental Stewardship works with facilities management staff to find ways to reduce environmental impact and integrate environmental stewardship into campus operations, planning, and procurement.  Environmental Stewardship works with the Energy Management Team in Facilities Management and the Natural Resources Management Committee on a broad range of environmental stewardship projects and programs.

                Environmental Stewardship also works closely with the Sustainability Education Coordinator and the Sustainability Advisory Committee on campus-wide initiatives and projects.

·         Natural Resources Management Plan and Updates to Natural Resource Maps
·         Exeter Unplugged Energy Competition
·         Energy Management Plan
·         Mapping of Exeter River Hazards and Barriers to Navigation
·         Composting Alternatives for Dining Hall Food Waste
·         Facilities Management Bicycle Program
·         Partnering with local, regional and state organizations for natural resources planning
