Project Team
Architect: SMRT
Contractor: Shawmut Design & Construction
PEA Construction Project Manager: Guy Conrad
PEA Design Manager: Annie Pleatsikas

Project Scope:
The project consists of the installation of a sprinkler system in 19 dorms and will be accomplished in four phases.  Phase I was completed in June 2006 with work in Moulton, Kirtland, Knight, Dutch House.  Phase II consisted of six dorms and was completed by August 31, 2006.  Phase III consisted of five dorms and was completed by Mid August 2007.

Phase IV consists of four dorms and is scheduled for summer of 2008.

Project Schedule:
Phase IV – the final phase of the Sprinkler Project began during the Thanksgiving break.  The dorms that will be addressed are: Webster Hall, Merrill Hall, Langdell Hall, Wheelwright Hall, and Dow House.  Because of the constraints that exist with these dorms, we have worked collectively with the Dean of Faculty, the Dean of Students, and Faculty to start the project early, concentrating on infrastructure and areas that will not be disturbing to the students and faculty.  Most of the work that will be going on between now and the summer will be during the Christmas and Spring breaks.

Project Status:
The project is on schedule to be complete by August 8th, 2008.
