Work by Principal Emerita Kendra Stearns O’Donnell is on display in the library through graduation. Called “Invention: 1997-2008,” the exhibit features a selection of her paintings and sketches.

Ms. O’Donnell, the first female principal, was the 12th principal of the Academy, serving from 1987 to 1997. She grew up in rural upstate New York and attended the Emma Willard School. She  earned a B.A. degree from Barnard College and a Ph.D. from Columbia University. She began painting in her teens and has continued painting throughout her life. She now lives in Concord, New Hampshire, with her husband, Patrick.

The works will be displayed from April 25 through June 6, 2008 on the main floor at the front of the building and in the display cases. The exhibit was installed by Edouard Desrochers.
