Over the course of each year, the Library hosts a number of special events. Most of these are free and open to the public, although due to space considerations, a few are restricted to members of the Academy community. The list below highlights some of the events of the past few years.

A celebrated poet, essayist, art critic and translator, Di Piero is professor emeritus of English at Stanford University. His works of poetry include Tombo, Nitro Nights, City Dog and Chinese Apples: New and Selected Poems. He will read from his works on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at 7:30 p.m.
