GV Cross Country: 2011 Season Roundup

Overall Record: 4 W - 1 L

Leaving for summer vacation in June, rising seniors Christine McEvoy, Rachel Brookshire, Kaitlin Kimberling, Jen Liu and Lauria Clarke knew that they would have to work hard to help their upcoming fall team improve upon the 7th place finish at the 2010 XC Interschols.  They ran over the summer, and came to school ready to race. With the help of Preps Elsa Chinburg and Maddy Logan, the team defeated, Portsmouth, St.Paul's and NMH in close races. The team also defeated Andover in an open meet in Boston, which included college teams, and beat the Blue again in a dual meet at Andover – these the first wins versus Andover for the girls team since 2005.

At Interschols, PEA placed 4th, surely a testament to the hard work, talent, and dedication of the whole 40 person squad.
