Trio Globo's broad and virtuosic repertoire is inspired by a wealth of the earth's cultures and traditions. Advocates of environmental consciousness, the Trio draws inspiration from the world's music, its inhabitants, customs, faiths, and natural wonders in a wide-ranging original program drawn from global folk traditions, jazz, the classics and blues. With a focus on musical and natural beauty shared across international borders, Trio Globo's performance joyously conveys the commonality of human celebration, dignity, spirituality and love in the context of an abundant and radiant planet. Comprised of Howard Levy playing harmonica and piano, cellist Eugene Friesen, and Glen Velez on drums and percussion, the artists of Trio Globo have redefined the performance parameters of their individual instruments and have each achieved acclaim as soloists and composers. "Fusion music in the best sense—an organic mixture of jazz, classical and world music that defies categorization.” — Jazz Now
