Academy Hosts Winter Choral Concert

Exeter, NH (March 3, 2009)—On Tuesday, March 3, at 7:00 p.m., Phillips Exeter Academy’s Music Department will host its Winter Choral Concert with student members of the Concert Choir, the Women’s Chorus, the Madrigal Singers and a cappella groups scheduled to perform. These ensembles will perform inside Phillips Church, located on the corner of Tan Lane and Front Street. The concert is free and open to the public.
The evening’s performance will include a collection entitled, “Songs of Hope and Change.” This will include, “Inscription of Hope,” by Z. Randall Stroppe; “Adonai Roi,” by Gerald Cohen; “Turn the World Around,” by Harry Belafonte; and “Music Alone Shall Live,” a traditional German round. The Concert Choir lineup is a collage of works that will be performed in their upcoming Spring Tour.
