Louise Breen '10 Moves on to Finals at World Rowing Junior Championships in France

GV Crew and Coach Sally Morris at the Nationals in Ohio where they won silver

Today at Brive-la-Gaillarde, the U.S. Junior Women's eight boat excelled, coming in first in the qualifying heat against Germany and New Zealand. The U.S. boat crossed the finish line in 6:35:75, a 2.93-second lead. The U.S. time also bested the 4 boats in the other JW8+ qualifying heat France, Hungary, Romania and Russia. Romania placed first in the 4-team heat with a time of 6:42:90.

The U.S. JW8+ boat, with Louise Breen '10 on crew, now moves directly to the finals on Saturday August 8th. They will race against Romania and winners of tomorrow's repechage contests.
