Myra Citrin, MD 
Medical Director

Dr. Citrin has been a trusted physician and leader at LHWC since 1993. Students, faculty, staff, and parents appreciate her professional wisdom, her sensitivity and warmth, and her wit. A graduate of Brown University and the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Dr. Citrin came to Exeter after many years in private practice. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), a member of the New Hampshire State Medical Society, and a member of the Adolescent Section of the AAP. Beyond medicine and Exeter, Dr. Citrin likes to bike, hike, read and garden, as well as spend time with her husband and four children.

Margaret K. O'Day, MSW 
Administrative Director of Health Services

Mrs. O'Day joined the Lamont Health and Wellness Center staff in 2005. A graduate of Bowdoin College and the Simmons College School of Social Work, her prior work includes counseling in academic and community health care settings as well as clinical and administrative work in a collegiate setting. On campus, she is a member of the Leadership group, the Health and Wellness Council, and co-advises the Student Health Advisory Board. With two young children, she keeps a busy schedule outside work with sports, family gatherings, and her singing group.

Carolyn Pappas, PA 
Physician's Assistant

Mrs. Pappas joined the Health and Wellness team in August of 2005. Prior to coming to the Academy, Mrs. Pappas worked in an internal medicine practice in the local area. She was attracted to this position because this setting allows her to take a holistic approach to a student's needs while collaborating with others. She was recently certified as a facilitator of the American Lung Associations' Not on Tobacco program (a tobacco cessation program for teens) and co-advises the Student Health Advisory Board. The mother of four daughters, Mrs. Pappas, is a member of her local parent/teacher organization, likes to garden, refinish furniture, and spend time with family and friends.

Nancy Thompson, RN, BSN, CLNC
Head Nurse

Mrs. Thompson is our Head Nurse who began at LHWC in the Fall of 2006. Prior to coming to PEA, she worked in the area as the Clinical Coordinator of two busy pediatric offices. Ms. Thompson is a graduate of Boston College with a Master of Science in Nursing from Simmons College. Besides her clinical and administrative work keeping the Health Center running smoothly, Mrs. Thompson can be seen on a variety of athletic fields with her two sons or engaging in her other passion, reading. Mrs. Thompson lives with her family in Stratham.

Therese Sargeant 
Health Services Coordinator

Ms. Sargeant is probably the first face you will see as you walk into the LHWC! She is the Health Services Coordinator who greets all visitors, answers our phones and does many behind the scenes activities to keep our Health Center running. Ms. Sargeant comes to us from the Sanborn Regional High School as their Registrar with additional experience working for Lab Corp in client services. She is from Kingston and is an avid gardener and baker. Ms. Sargeant is also bi-lingual (Spanish) and the proud mother of 3 adolescent children.

Debbie Smith
Office Assistant

Mrs. Smith is one of the friendly folks who might greet you when you come to the main office of the Lamont Health and Wellness Center. She is an integral part of our Health and Wellness team who oversees much of our administrative work, particularly health insurance claims, and serves as our administrative technology liaison. A mother of three teenagers, Mrs. Smith is a member of St. Vincent de Paul and the Vintage Saab Club. A talented artist, she enjoys hooking rugs and photography.
