ACCESS EXETER

 

Students:

Approximately 280 residential and day students who are U.S. citizens or international students and have completed grades seven or eight.

Courses:

There are six Academic Clusters for students to choose from: Project Exeter: Leadership for a Greener Earth, The Land and the Sea, Problem-Solving: An Odyssey of the Mind, The Global Community, The Creative Arts: Let Your Spirit Soar, or Exeter C.S.I.: Crime Scene Investigation. Classes meet Monday through Saturday, with each course meeting five times a week. ACCESS EXETER students should expect nightly homework assignments and will be expected to prepare fully for each day's class discussion and activities.

Educational Excursion:

Each cluster will participate in a three-day/two-night off-campus educational excursion during the third week of the session.

Extracurricular Course:

The Academic Approach® SSAT Preparation course can be taken for an additional fee.

Sports:

Approximately 18 sports are offered in two sessions. Students can also participate in the Seacoast United Soccer Club program for an additional fee.

Performing Arts:

Students may participate in Glee Club or the orchestra, or take private music lessons for an additional fee.

Activities:

Chaperoned off-campus excursions to cultural and recreational sites in New England. On-campus events feature dances, dorm gatherings for cookouts, and other social events.

Rolling admissions.

Financial Aid:

Nearly 30% of ACCESS EXETER students receive financial aid. Deadline for financial aid applications is March 1.
