ACCESS EXETER

 

Students:

Approximately 280 residential and day students who are U.S. citizens or international students and have completed grades seven or eight.

 

 

 

 

Courses:

There are eight Academic Clusters for students to choose from: Creative Design and Purpose for a Changing World, The Land and the Sea, Problem-Solving: An Odyssey of the Mind, A Global Community, The Creative Arts: Let Your Spirit Soar, or Exeter C.S.I.: Crime Scene Investigation, The Shape of Things, and Classics: Reliving the Ancient World. Classes meet Monday through Saturday, with each course meeting five times a week. ACCESS EXETER students should expect nightly homework assignments and will be expected to prepare fully for each day's class discussion and activities.

Educational Excursions:

Each cluster may participate in an off-campus educational excursion during the summer that relates to their course of study.  

Extracurricular Course:

The Academic Approach® SSAT Preparation course can be taken for an additional fee.

Sports:

Multiple sports are offered in two different sessions. Students can also participate in Crew or an advanced soccer club for an additional fee.

Performing Arts:

Students may participate in Glee Club or the orchestra, or take private music lessons for an additional fee.

Activities:

Chaperoned off-campus excursions to cultural and recreational sites in New England. On-campus events feature dances, dorm gatherings for cookouts, and other social events.

Nearly 30% of ACCESS EXETER students receive financial aid.
