Participant Reviews
The first Exeter Humanities Institute drew fifty participants from Canada and all over the United States: South Carolina to Hawaii, Louisiana to Wisconsin, Kentucky to California.
Following are some of the comments made about their experience at Exeter.

"I would recommend the conference enthusiastically to colleagues and peers. I hope other teachers from my school will come. I want to come again and again in the future!"

"The food was superb!"
"The Harkness method is a wonderful way of injecting stimulating pedagogy into one's teaching while at the same time enriching the content of one's curriculum. Thank you for a week that was revitalizing."
"I leave with my backpack full of new ideas. Rock on!"

"So often I get frustrated when speakers and consultants have a group of teachers 'model' a technique. This conference was not that way. We were learning about the Harkness method, we were doing it through genuine discussions."
"I give this conference a 10 and recommend it to my faculty. It was very informing and it was also fun!"

"Great networking."
"Perhaps the best professional development opportunity I have ever participated in."
