Off Campus Trips

On Tuesday evening participants have the opportunity to join a conference-sponsored off-campus trip. These require a reservation and there is an additional fee which is collected at the on-site registration in June. These fees are typically in the $40 range and for the most part defer the cost of transportation. For the baseball trip, the fee would include the cost of the ticket. For summer 2009, we are planning the following trips:.

• Boston Tour (self-guided) - The bus will drop participants off at historic Faneuil Hall Market Place (also known as Quincy Market). From there you can follow the Freedom Trail to the North End, where Old North Church and Paul Revere House are located. Or, you can walk to Boston Common and the Public Garden and take a ride on the famous Swan Boats, then stroll down Newbury Street. Restaurants are plentiful in Quincy Market, the North End and Newbury Street.

• New Hampshire Seacoast Tour - The bus will take participants along the scenic New Hampshire seacoast to Portsmouth, NH. Participants will then have an opportunity to dine and shop in this historic seacoast town.

We ask that you indicate on your registration form which trip you are interested in so that we can arrange appropriate transportation. These trips are on a first-come, first-served basis and submission of your registration form reserves your spot.
