Phillips Exeter Academy is located in Exeter, a southern New Hampshire town which retains its 18th-century New England charm.
The in-town campus is divided by the three principal streets of the community, with Georgian-style classroom buildings placed prominently at the center. The surrounding dormitories are easily accessible from classrooms and other facilities, including an administrative building, post office, library, art gallery, music center, health center, bookstore, student center, theater, dining halls and athletic facilities.
Due to the pandemic, all campus buildings and grounds are closed to visitors until further notice. As a result, we are not offering campus tours. Until we can welcome you to campus, we invite you to explore Exeter through our virtual visit page, Exeter Today and virtual events hosted by the Admissions Office.
Walkable Campus and Town
The walk from your dorm to class is short, taking only a minute from some dorms, under five minutes for others. Two dining halls make it easy to stop for a meal or snack near your next class.
You can walk to stores and restaurants in Exeter's downtown.
