Biography
Austin Washington was raised in Spokane, Washington. He earned a B.A. in Economics from Gonzaga University where he also played soccer for the men's team. After two years in Chicago playing Major League Soccer for the Chicago Fire, Austin moved to Boston to complete a master's degree in divinity at Boston University. He is now a doctoral student at Boston University's School of Theology studying social ethics. Austin is interested in black American Pentecostalism and traditions of protest among black American religious denominations. While at Boston University Mr. Washington worked in residence life as a graduate resident assistant and as a teaching fellow in the School of Theology.
Mr. Washington's hobbies include drawing cartoons, biking, playing soccer and learning new languages.
