Biography

Born and raised in Milan, Italy, Mr. Secondi taught at American University, Wellesley College and for 10 years at Occidental College before coming to Exeter in 2008. He was granted tenure at Occidental, where he also received the Donald R. Loftsgordon Memorial Award for Outstanding Teaching and the Linda and Tod White Teaching Prize.

Mr. Secondi taught for several years at Exeter Summer and in the Columbia University Summer Program. In 2010 he was selected as a National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Scholar, and he received an Outstanding Educator Award from the University of Chicago. At Exeter he has received the Charles E. Ryberg New Teacher Award (2012), the Brown Family Faculty Fund Award (2014) and the Rupert Radford Faculty Fellowship Award (2015).

In his free time Mr. Secondi enjoys biking, traveling, and listening to classical music.
