The boys basketball and boys hockey teams will have their winter seasons continue on as they both have qualified for their respective postseason tournaments. Postseason play has become somewhat of a tradition for each of the two programs.

The boys basketball team is the only team to qualify for the Class A Tournament since reclassification occurred nine years ago. It has made the most of its runs in that time, winning three championships and playing in five final fours.

Similarly, the boys hockey team is one of only two teams in New England to qualify for the Stuart/Corkery Elite Tournament in each of the past five seasons.

Big Red basketball, which captured its third championship title last season, earned the six-seed and will open up the 2018 playoff run at 5:30 p.m. at third-seeded Milton Academy. Exeter bested Milton 60-40 in their only matchup of the season back on December 13th.

Exeter hockey will also start its playoff journey as the six-seed on Wednesday evening when it travels to third-seed Kimball Union Academy at 5:45 p.m. Big Red dropped a narrow 4-3 decision when the Wildcats came to town in January. Watch a live stream of the game here.
