PEA Hosts New York-Based Artist Will Cotton

Candy-inspired artist will discuss his paintings, photography, sculpture and stage designs, including collaborations with actress Elle Fanning, singer-songwriter Katy Perry and fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi.

Will Cotton discusses his work and the art world with Exeter students.

The Art Department will host New York City-based artist Will Cotton for a public talk on Monday, Feb. 23, at 7 p.m. in Mayer Auditorium. The talk is free and open to the public.

Known for his candy-inspired scenes and adornments, Cotton will discuss his paintings, photography, sculpture and stage designs, including collaborations with actress Elle Fanning, singer-songwriter Katy Perry and fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi.

Cotton has exhibited at major museums throughout the U.S. and Europe, and is represented by Mary Boone Gallery, New York; Baldwin Gallery, Aspen, Colorado; Michael Kohn Gallery, Los Angeles; Galerie Daniel Templon, Paris, France; and Jablonka Galerie, Cologne, Germany.

Cotton will also work with students during his two-day visit to Exeter, which is sponsored by the Michael Rockefeller '56 Visiting Artists Fund.
