Tyler Morris won his 126 pound weight class and was named Tournament MVP.

The Class A Wrestling Championship crown will stay in Exeter yet another year as Big Red wrestled their way back to the top this afternoon at the William Boyce Thompson Field House. The win did not lack any flair as Big Red edged out Northfield Mount Hermon by one point, 193-192. The title is Big Red’s fourth in as many years in the Class A division.

Exeter finished with five wrestlers at the top of their weight class including Christian Petry '21 (106 lbs.), Tyler Morris '20 (126 lbs.), Kevin Lyskawa '18 (152 lbs.), Nasir Grissom '18 (170 lbs.), and Henry Lagasse '19 (220 lbs.).

Morris was named Tournament MVP while Grissom captured the most amount of pins in the least amount of time with three in just 3:34. Lagasse clinched the tournament for Big Red with a clutch pin in the final match of the day.

Next weekend Exeter will turn their attention to defending their New England Prep School Wrestling Championship title, which they claimed last season. Big Red has finished first or second in each of the last four years, winning two of the past three seasons.
