Field Hockey - JV

The Exeter field hockey team was the first girls team to represent the Academy when it debuted in the fall of 1970. Since then the program has focused on developing great student-athletes and leaders. Building community is important to Big Red, and they give back by participating in yearly breast cancer awareness games and hosting food drives. After graduating from the Academy, many former field hockey players have gone on to enjoy terrific careers at the collegiate level, including programs in the Ivy League and the NESCAC League. The team plays and trains on Hatch Field, one of two turf fields on the Academy campus.

JV Field Hockey did not take the win today. However, goalkeeper Vida Ntem-Mensah had an outstanding game, with multiple diving saves! Amelie Bunnell played strong defense, with excellent clears.

JV Field Hockey lost today to Middlesex. However, Arianna Bocchino scored the 1st goal of the game in the second quarter which helped to propel Exeter forward. Exeter played strong defense, with several forced turnovers by midfielders Paris Tran and Cassia Lee. Beatrix Prairie stepped up to play center back for the first time in their career, helping to keep the defensive zone clear of dangerous shots.

Field hockey loses to Exeter HS 3-0 after the first time playing on grass. Lower Beatrix Prarie and Prep Sylvia Campbell fought hard on defense.

Girls JV Field Hockey lost to Govs today 4-0 after a tough first half. Exeter let in zero goals the entire second half with 22 saves by Audrey Sim in goal and an amazing defensive stop by Beatrix Prairie and Sadie Shang. Anne Wang had an amazing game at midfield with multiple breakaways.

Exeter fought hard the entire game, with Beatrix Prairie, Sadie Shang, and Evelyn Lamptey displaying a strong defensive stand. Paris Tran, Cassia Lee, and Beeke Fock fought hard on offense and defense.

Exeter fought extremely hard today. Pingree scored in the first half, with a quick follow-up from Amelie Bunnell, assisted by Cassia Lee. Big Red kept the ball in the offensive end of the field for the majority of the game. Pingree scored the final goal in the last five minutes of the game. Prep Whitney Pickett had an amazing game, with multiple defensive stops and offensive tips/ passes.

Jv girls travelled to northfield and battled in a 0-3 loss. Vida had 10 saves and Beatrix Prairie was a standout on defense.

JV Field Hockey showed up to play today. Exeter controlled the ball in the offensive half of the field for the majority of the game. GK Vida earned a shutout today! Defensive line: Sadie, Beatrix and Sylvia were a force today, keeping the goal clear. Prep Leona Ledermann had multiple free position passes that were critical offensively.

After a challenging start of the game, with Brooks scoring 2 goals, Exeter held a shutout for the second half of the game. GK Vida Ntem-Mensah was solid in goal. Upper Cassia Lee and Prep Whitney Pickett worked hard to get back on defense and to progress the ball offensively.

JV Field Hockey lost to talented SPS today. All goals were scored in the first half as Exeter stepped it up in the second half. GK Vida Ntem-Mensah had multiple diving saves. Prep Cristina Ortiz was a big help on defense, keeping her stick down to make some big stops. Beatrix Prairie, Sylvia Campbell, Amelie Bunnell, and Sadie Shang played excellent defense all game.

Big win for Big Red today. Exeter scored early in the first half of the game. The goal was scored by Erin Chen and assisted by Beeke Fock. Every player on the team contributed on the field to the win over Holderness. GK Vida Ntem-Mensah was solid in goal. Anne Wang, Cassia Lee, Whitney Pickett and Paris Tran played aggressive in the midfield.

Strong team effort today for Exeter against a talented SPS. GK Vida has some amazing saves today, including a save from the stroke.

Exeter was unable to pull out the victory tonight, however they played incredibly well against a talented Andover team. All players contributed in the game tonight. GK Vida made incredible saves in net.
