Exeter for Educators

400+

Teachers trained yearly in intensive on-campus workshops

Our 2024 Exeter for Educators Conferences will take place on campus June 23-28. Exeter Humanities Institute West will be held July 7-11 at The Bishop's School in La Jolla, California.

We host professional development institutes at Exeter each summer. These intensive five-day workshops attract teachers from a broad spectrum of schools, including private, parochial and public schools in the U.S. and abroad. All based on Harkness learning concepts, the conferences focus on specific subjects including math, science, technology, writing, environmental literature and diversity. Scholarship support is available.

Exeter Mathematics Institute takes Harkness teaching and our custom-developed, continuously evolving math materials to schools around the U.S. and Europe for workshops taught by PEA math instructors. For more information and to see a list of previous locations visit our EMI page.

Our summer conferences award participating educators 40 clock hours towards professional development.
