Back-to-back weekends of spring competition.

Every sports season ends the same way: Exeter vs. Andover. This year, we get to do it twice.
The global pandemic may have delayed the greatest rivalry in prep athletics, providing the biggest layoff in competition between the two schools since the late 1800’s, but this past Saturday, the Red and Blue were able to familiarize themselves once again in the first of back-to-back weekends of competition to round out the 2020-2021 school year.
No amount of hiatus could alter the “throw out the record books” nature of the competitions each time the Red and Blue step in between the lines.
The boys varsity lacrosse game earned the badge of most exciting among the slate of games split between the two campuses. Exeter trailed 7-3 late in the first half before outscoring Andover 10-3 over the remainder of the game to capture a 13-10 victory. It was some veteran leadership that powered the charge for Big Red as Daniel Addonizio ’21, Luke Breen ’21, Liam Ford ’21, Casey Herod ’21, Tyler Luzzo ’21 and Griffin Walker ’21 each scored at least one goal during the 10-goal surge. Exeter also escaped two Andover man-up opportunities unscathed late in the fourth quarter with the game in the balance. Check out the full scoreboard from Saturday below.
This coming Saturday the two sides will meet again in what will be the final sports weekend of 2020-2021. Games will be split between the two campuses as most squads will line up for rematches. Events available via livestream are linked below.

E/A spectator policy
--We will welcome up to four family members for each student-athlete from both Exeter and Andover to come to campus to spectate at our final games of the season. This is for venues both indoors and outdoors.
--All spectators must wear a mask at all times while on campus, regardless of vaccination status.
--Spectators should remain socially distant from each other and the competing student-athletes.
--At Phelps Stadium, please utilize the visiting side bleachers to watch lacrosse contests.
