Karla Ashenhurst

Program Assistant of The Exeter Fund

Karla Ashenhurst

I grew up in Portsmouth, NH and love living on the NH Seacoast. I attended the University of New Hampshire where I received my B.A. in Political Science. I began a career in Human Resources with a concentration on reporting and analytics. While working in Human Resources on a temporary assignment in 2018, I had an opportunity to learn about the role Phillips Exeter Academy plays in shaping the lives of young people from every quarter.

I loved the sense of community I felt while working at The Academy. When my assignment ended, it was always my hope that I would someday find myself back at Phillips Exeter Academy and continue to support its mission. I started in my current role as Program Assistant for the Exeter Fund in 2022. In my position I manage the technological and administrative operations of The Exeter Fund Office. It is a fulfilling experience to be a part of the very crucial role Institutional Advancement and the Exeter Fund plays in supporting the mission of The Academy and connecting alumni with one another and to their alma mater.

In my spare time I enjoy working out, reading, and enjoying the many charms of my hometown Portsmouth, NH.
