Gia Pisano '21 was named girls cross country team MVP after leading Big Red to their second New England title in the past three seasons.

After a highly successful fall season, Exeter’s varsity coaches have announced the 2018 award winners. The decision for our coaches is extremely difficult because of all the talented, hardworking student-athletes that are a part of our program. Recipients of the individual awards are listed below.

This fall season also saw a lot of team success on the fields, trails and courts. The girls varsity cross country team captured their second New England title in the past three seasons as they sprinted past the competition and finished 36 points ahead of the second-place team. The boys cross country team also turned in a terrific performance at Interschols, finishing in second place overall by just a single point. Both JV programs also cruised to first-place finishes.

The girls varsity volleyball team put together an inspiring run in the Class A playoffs, marching all the way to the championship match where they fell to Loomis Chaffee. Their appearance marked the fourth time in the past six seasons that Big Red has played in the title match. The future of the volleyball program is in good hands as the JV squad also experienced a lot of success this fall, posting a perfect 13-0 record.

The boys varsity soccer team also qualified for postseason play following a terrific regular season where they finished 9-4-4.
