Basketball - Boys V

Exeter boys varsity basketball has been one of the most successful programs in New England over the past decade. Big Red is the only team to qualify for the Class A Tournament in each of the last 10 years and has captured four titles in the past seven seasons, including two championships in the past three seasons. Head coach Jay Tilton has seen numerous alums go on to compete at the NCAA Division I, II and III levels, including programs in the Big Ten, Ivy League, Patriot League and NESCAC conference.

Josh Morissette scored 13 of his game-high 23 points in the second half to lift Big Red to a 57-55 comeback victory over Loomis. Morissette hit an elbow jumper with 1:30 left to give Exeter a lead they would not give back. Loomis Chaffee's last second jumper to tie danced on the rim before rolling off. Rollie Castineyra finished with 13 points while Dom Campbell added ten. Paolo Belfiore was big on defense with several key steals and a pair of blocks.

Adam Hinton scored 15 of his 18 in the second half as Big Red pulled away from Worcester in a 79-55 victory. Exeter's balanced attack saw Josh Morissette finish with 18, Chandler Pigge added 17, while Dom Campbell put up 12 points in the win.
