The furniture, carpeting, lighting, and decoration in the Library came from a large number of manufacturers and suppliers. Some pieces were custom designed and built to Academy specifications, while others were standard products.
In addition, many of the decorative items, such as paintings, prints, maps, and photographs, came from either the Academy’s archives or other locations in the Academy; others were gifts of alumni/ae and friends of the Academy.
A list of the major manufacturers and suppliers follows. It should be noted, however, that some of these suppliers may no longer be in business.
