Lodging Options for Summer Teacher Conferences

Complimentary dormitory housing is included in the conference fee

June 19-24, 2022

All conference attendees are welcome to stay in the dormitories on campus, with the option of arriving on Saturday, June 18th (day before the conference begins) or Sunday, June 19th, and must depart on Friday, June 24th. 

Please be aware that guests (including partners, spouses, and children) are NOT permitted to stay in the dormitories for any portion of the week. Dormitory housing is only available to conference participants.

Area Hotels and Inns - Room Blocks are Available

We realize people may prefer the amenities of hotels or inns. If you choose to stay off-campus, below is a list of local lodging options where we have room blocks in place. When calling for a reservation, mention you are attending a summer teacher institute at Phillips Exeter Academy for our preferred rate. As a reminder, the cost of off-site lodging is NOT included in the conference fee. You are responsible for your own hotel reservation and payment. There are a limited number of rooms available, so please plan accordingly.

Dorm Lodging

We are pleased to offer conference participants a single dorm room at no additional charge. Dorm rooms are standard boarding rooms and are not air conditioned. You will have the option to borrow a fan upon arrival to campus (no additional fee.)


What’s included in a dorm room?
An extra-long twin bed, dresser, desk, closet, and lamp. A linen bundle (2 flat sheets, pillow case and 2 bath towels) will be provided. We recommend you bring a wash cloth, your own pillow, a long fitted twin sheet, a fan (if driving), flip flops for the shower and a small extension cord for your fan. PILLOWS ARE NOT PROVIDED IN DORM ROOMS.

Are the dorms air-conditioned?
No, dorms are not air-conditioned.

Do your dorms have elevators?
Some dorms have elevators, but this is not the norm.

Will I get my own room?
Yes, unless you request a roommate.  

Can you smoke in the dorms?
No, all campus buildings are non-smoking.

Are bathrooms shared or will my room have its own bath?
Yes, you will share a bathroom with people assigned to your floor.  Bring flip flops for the shower.

Are dorms coed?
No, we assign dorms by gender.  We cannot offer coed arrangements for couples traveling to the conference.  You may want to consider off-campus lodging.

Is there a kitchen area in my dorm?
Yes, all dorms have a common area which include basic kitchen set ups and lounge areas. 

Are guests allowed to stay in the dorms?

No, we are not able to provide housing for any guests (including partners, spouses, and children.) Dorm housing is only available to conference participants.
