Does it cost extra to arrive on Saturday?
We love our attendees to arrive on Saturday. It gives you a chance to get settled, familiarize yourself with the campus and spend a day in and around the town of Exeter. We do not charge any additional fees for a Saturday arrival. However, the first conference meal available is Sunday morning brunch. Saturday night you are on your own for dinner. There are several local dining options within walking distance from the Academy. When you check into the conference, you'll be given local dining options, including delivery services.

What airport(s) should I plan to use?
You have 2 options for airport travel: Boston Logan International Airport is located 1 hour south of Phillips Exeter Academy. Boston Regional Manchester Airport (link is external) is located 45 minutes west of the Academy.

Do you provide transportation from Boston South Station or Logan Airport to Phillips Exeter Academy?

Getting to Phillips Exeter Academy from Boston is a two-step process. Although we do not provide direct transportation from the airport to campus, we do provide a shuttle from the C & J Bus Terminal in Seabrook, NH to Campus.

PART 1 - Take the C&J Trailways (link is external) bus to Seabrook, NH. This bus originates at South Station and stops at Logan Airport terminals every hour. Check the C&J website for weekend northbound rates and schedules. You can pre-purchase your ticket online or buy the ticket when you arrive in Seabrook. The bus will be marked "Dover/Portsmouth/Seabrook". You only need to purchase a one-way ticket.

PART 2 - From Seabrook to Exeter. We offer complimentary shuttles that depart Seabrook every hour to coincide with the C&J arrivals from Boston. Our shuttle service from Seabrook to the Academy is as follows:

Start Time (1st Pickup in Seabrook)

End Time (Last Pickup at Seabrook)

I am flying into the Manchester Regional Airport. How do I get to Phillips Exeter Academy from there?
You are responsible for getting yourself from Manchester Airport to the Academy. (We do provide a return shuttle to Manchester Airport at the conclusion of the conference on Friday). Our recommendation is to plan a car service for a one-way trip to the Academy. Your destination is Phelps Academy Center, 9 Tan Lane, Exeter, NH. This is where you will check into the conference. Below are some options for local car services. The Academy does not endorse any particular service, nor is this an exhaustive list of providers. We have compiled this list as a courtesy to our conference attendees.

Do you provide transportation back to Boston (Logan Airport or South Station) at the end of the conference on Friday?
Yes. At the conclusion of the conference, we provide complimentary private coaches that go directly from Phillips Exeter Academy to Logan Airport (we stop at all terminals). The buses leave campus at 1:00 p.m. on Friday and arrive at Logan Airport by 2:00 p.m. If you want to get to South Station, you take our coach to Logan Airport and get off at any terminal. From there, you will transfer to a Silver Line (public bus) that will take you to South Station.  You can sign up for our complimentary Friday buses to Boston when you arrive on campus.

Do you provide transportation back to Manchester Regional Airport at the end of the conference on Friday?
Yes, we provide a complimentary shuttle back to the Manchester Airport on Friday. The shuttle leaves campus 1:00 p.m. and will arrive in Manchester by 2:00 p.m. You will sign up for the shuttle when you arrive on campus.

At the end of the conference, what time should I plan my outgoing flight, train or bus?
The conference officially ends at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Our buses to Logan Airport and Manchester Airport depart campus at 1:00 p.m. You will arrive at your respective airport by 2:00 p.m. We recommend scheduling all departing flights any time after 3:30 p.m. If you are traveling to South Station (via Logan Airport), you will arrive there by 2:30 p.m. Please schedule outgoing trains accordingly. If you need to leave campus before 1:00 p.m. in order to catch an earlier flight, you will be responsible for your own transportation.

Can you provide driving directions?
If driving to the conference, your destination address is 9 Tan Lane, Exeter, NH. Use this destination in your personal GPS or navigation device.

Is there parking available during the week?
Yes, there is parking available on and around campus. When you arrive at the Academy, temporarily park your car on Tan Lane while you check into the conference and we’ll assist you with parking.

Can I take a train from Boston to Exeter?
Yes, the Amtrak Downeaster makes daily trips between Boston's North Station and Portland, ME. This train stops in Exeter at the Lincoln Street Station. Check the Amtrak website (link is external) for schedules and fares. From the Lincoln Street Station, it is 1/2 mile walk to the Academy. If you are traveling to South Station or Logan Airport (and do not want to use our shuttle) you can make your way to North Station and catch the train to Exeter.
